The Vixen Resonator was originally commissioned by Archie Sylvester of Ferris & Sylvester.

The original body is constructed utilising a maple and mahogany ply for the top and back, with swamp ash sides. It is finished in Dakota Red nitrocellulose lacquer. The pickup was made to order by Bare Knuckle pickups of Falmouth, Cornwall. The resonator cone is a Dobro unit with the bridge custom designed and developed in house to deliver the performance required of this instrument.
